We were able to raise enough funds for our Autism Summer School, which meets twice a week for eight weeks during the summer. Our first year was more successful than we imagined. The 8 kids in our first year did great; it was so rewarding to see them open up each week, as well as see their progress. Our staff did a wonderful job and we are so appreciative of their dedication to our program. Our 4th year for SSE our summer program went better than we could imagined. Enrollment is now underway for the summer of 2012. Join us!
Throughout the summer, we have a lot of activities. Last year, we ended the program/summer with a huge graduation party complete with cake,diplomas,
a waterslide, a bounce house and pizzas. Everyone had a great time!!
Some new progress with Autism Matters is we have done training for police, fire and 1st responders on Autism. People with Autism are seven times more likely to encounter emergency personel. We have in house training at local fire departments. To set-up an appointment for your training, please contact us.
